38 weeks.

So tomorrow I will be 38 weeks, so yea I am jumping the gun a little...give me a break I am totally impatient & I am basically 38 weeks so just play along. So I am beyond ready, this is out of control, can she just come out already? Austin & I went to our toddler class picnic today & I got to hold Sam's little sister, Emily, she's only 7 lbs. & I was holding her thinking 'this is what's inside me right now' & it made me even more ready! The toddler picnic was so much fun because I got to hang out with 'my' kiddo's without having to be the montessori class nazi...it was also nice to be able to really talk to all the parents, they are all so nice! Anyways, I got lots of good advice & was reassured that labor isn't 'that bad'; we'll see about that! Anyways, I am so uncomfortable & Austin & I are both just ready meet little Harlow, pray she comes really soon!!

36 Week Checkup

I went to the "Doctor" (it was really a nurse) a few days ago for my 36 week checkup. Everything looks good, she's in position & hopefully this means she'll make an appearance a little early if I am lucky! The nurse has been doing her job since '75 so longer than I have been alive by 7 years! She said she's never seen a baby that is that active at 36 weeks, I guess she was bending her knee & fully extending several times & this is crazy for this late in pregnancy! She also made a comment about how it looks like she has really long legs, clearly something she got from Austin, lucky girl...hopefully this doesn't mean she's huge! I have gained 16 lbs. so far & they didn't say anything about my weight so I guess it's ok! I will take pictures in a couple weeks, after I get my hair done!

33 weeks update

Harlow is starting to get very strong & I am huge! I have still only gained 14.5 lbs. but have been eating like a crazy person, hopefully the doctor is ok with my weight! I go to the doc in about 2 weeks. I am super uncomfortable & hoping that memorial day will be the day she decides to come out & play! Austin & I are trying to get our apartment in shape before the baby comes but with no storage it's been really hard to organize & it's making me insane, it feels like I live in a storage unit! I am putting up the most recent photo...

Preggo Update.

So I will be 32 weeks on Monday...I feel like I have been pregnant forever! Work is starting to get really hard & I am achy A LOT! I can't wait to start wearing cute clothes again & I am really looking forward to getting back into shape & going to yoga again! I mean seriously, I get fatigued folding laundry...like are you serious!? It's a little ridiculous! I am really ready to meet my baby girl & see what she looks like. I have also been reassured by my doctor that they won't let me have a 9 lb. baby let alone another Austin so I am feeling much better about that! Harlow has been kicking a lot & actually kicked Austin in the head pretty hard the other night (he was trying to hear her)...She must not have liked the pressure on her & she kicked him, it was pretty funny! The weird picture above looks like my tummy is cone-like, it's really not but it's the one we took so there you have it!

Baby Shower 2009.

I am sorry it took me so long to blog, we haven't been able to get online much lately, certainly not long enough to upload photos! So I was lucky enough to go to Seattle a few weeks ago & have my best friends throw me the most amazing shower! Anne & Danielle put so much work into everything & I am SO thankful, it turned out beautiful (see the pictures)! It was such a wonderful shower & it was AMAZING to see everyone, more people showed up than I thought would be there & I wish I could have seen everyone longer, I have never seen so many presents in my life & I can't believe how generous people were! Thank you to everyone it was SO MUCH FUN!

Palm Desert 2009.

Austin & I just got back from a wonderful full week with my grandparents at their beautiful home in Palm Desert, we ate a lot (see pix above!), we swam in the pool, we relaxed, shopped & hung out with Barbara & Leon :) We miss them & can't wait to see them again soon!

More (non-Seattle) Starbucks Drama...

Ok, so remember when I had issues with Starbucks at Christmas with the Denver Starbucks? Ok, so Austin & I were at the Palm Desert Starbucks yesterday afternoon with my grandma & I wanted to treat her because she had done so much for her already. She just told me to get her something fun...so I did. I get in there & I get behind the first person in line. I grab my Naked juice & as I do so one of the employees starts telling me how great this other berry flavor is, for like 2 minutes...so I try it, I mean he just told me how great it was for 2 minutes straight. In the meantime people have created a whole other line. I turned around & said to the worker guy, "Oops...guess the line moved." thanks to the two guys 'behind' me I was let back in line, I think they just felt bad when they saw I was pregnant...whatever no big deal. So anyways I ordered my favorite drink for my grandma, mostly because I knew she had never had it. I got her an iced soy chai, light ice. Well, Since That's what I always order, either that or a soy hot chocolate I know I said soy & I specifically remember saying it. The girl helping me was a little spacey but really sweet, she kept losing things (the pen & my pastry, no joke haha)...I didn't care but anyways, I guess she didn't get the "soy" part of the order & the barista made just a whole milk iced chai (which I knew my grandma would hate!) I politely said "I'm sorry, it was supposed to be soy, I'm really sorry", not mean right? Ok, so she gets totally pissed & then said "did you even order soy?" I said "yea, but it's ok." she turns to the girl that rang me up as if she didn't believe me & asked her if I really did order soy...um, seriously when did the customer become wrong? Aren't we always right? Please don't question me in front of 10 other people, just remake the drink & deal with it. So the girl says I didn't hear her but I am sure she did (she was nice). Then the barista says "well, did you charge her for soy?" she was like "no." (ok, seriously just remake the drink you have ten people in line!) But NOOOOOOOOOOO, I had to go back to the register where the barista made the girl ring me up for $.40, you think I am joking, no I am dead serious. Is it just me or is that a little ridiculous? I mean, I had no problem paying for it but if you mess it up, just remake it & deal with it! Anyways, just another "this would never happen at a Kirkland or Seattle Starbucks" situation. Well, good thing they finally gave me my drink because grandma LOVED it!
