Sick Toddlers Part Deux

Ironically right after I wrote that I went to nanny & started seeing black spots & almost passed out...I pretty much scared Spencer (the boy I am nannying) half to death because I really thought I was going to pass out...I told him if I was unconscious that everything was ok & to call 911 & just tell them I was prego...ok I mean I had to say something he's barely 7 (his birthday was yesterday) & it was just the 2 of us. Anyways I got home & started feeling achy & awful & then my temperature sky-rocked again...it was 100.6 so only .4 away from hospital visiting & I was up all night because my body hurt so bad. Anyways, That's the 2nd time in 3 weeks I have had a high fever & been so sick I had to miss work...Reminder: the job I started less than 4 weeks ago. I am so frustrated with these kids parents...this is not good for me or safe for the baby...I am not really sure what to do...

Sick Toddlers

I started my new job at the Montessori about 4 weeks ago. I am working at Denver Montessori with 27 two year olds it's rather intense to say the least. I mean they are so incredibly adorable, well, most of them. The issue is that it's very physically exhausting & there are always a ton of sick kids in there! Monday Finn threw up 3 times, pink eye, pneumonia and other random things are going around & it's a little scary. I wish parents would just stop being selfish & keep their kids home when they are sick. It's not fair to the teachers, the other kids or the sick kid when the parent sends them to school sick. I have already missed two days of work since I started due to a double sinus infection. Anyways, they can be really funny though. We have "line time" before they leave where we read, sing & sing good bye to each of the kids. A few of the girls are just so funny & do these great dances when we sing good bye to them. A couple of the kids are just plain hilarious. Yesterday one of the little boys, Bode, came up to me and says "Ashley! This is just so much fun!" we stayed inside for "outside time" so the kids got to listen to music & play with scarves & balls which is apparently just so much fun! Today I was on snack duty & Jackie, my favorite (I am sorry to say but I do have a favorite) has been really into the fact that I have a "baby in my tummy" so she was talking about the baby & then didn't say anything for about 10 minutes then all of a sudden looks up at me & says "I love Harlow." It was adorable! Let me just say she's the itty-bittyest little thing & has platinum blond hair, bright blue eyes & pink cheeks & we all think she looks like Cindy Lou Who. She was wearing 18 mo. size leggings today which should be tight, but they were falling off of her...so funny, let me remind you she is actually 33 mo. the little itty bitty, I can't get enough of her! Every time we hang out I just get so excited to have my own little girlie! I did however have a bit of an issue with the shirt her mom put on her this morning that said "future democrat", SO NOT Ok, but whatever, she has no idea what that even means....

So anyways...I am off to nanny today so I can make a little more money since I barely make anything & I am going to have a baby so I GTG...

Will June EVER get here?

So ever since we found out the sex for sure it feels like June is so far away...I mean we only found out Monday & it feels like a month ago! I was talking to Danielle about it a few days ago & I concluded that if I were in Seattle, keeping busy & seeing friends time would probably go a little faster but being in Denver time just goes so slowly! My friend Andrea went into labor today, she's having a little boy, the name is a secret...but I am so excited for her. When I got her text I realized that I am just so excited to meet out little baby girl & June just can't get here fast enough! The good news is that Austin & I have a lot to look forward to between now & then...February 28th we get to go visit my grandparents in Palm Springs for a week & then the last week of March I get to go home for the last time before we move back! I just hope the rest of January & February will fly by! So pretty much having a girl is going to be so much fun, I mean I have wanted a daughter since I was 3 I think, I mean what's better than little girls! I mean seriously, I was at work today in the toddler room at the Montessori and there's a couple of the little girls that are so excited that there's a baby in my tummy. First, Sophia, she's almost 3 & all I have ever seen her do in class is dress up & push the dolls around in a stroller. Her mom just had another daughter in August & Sofia keeps asking me how baby Harlow is & when is she going to come out? Then there's Sam, her mom is due in May & I am assuming that she has been talking to her mom's tummy because when she found out I was pregnant all she wanted to do was rub my tummy and talk to it. Anyways, I think it's the sweetest thing ever! Ok, well, so much for all this rambling...I am going to finish getting things done before Austin & I have to babysit tonight!

It's a Girl

So we had our 19 week ultrasound today. After our 12 week ultrasound, we were sure it was going to be a boy & of course I have always wanted a girl so by telling myself it's a boy I was preparing myself. So we're sitting there all jelly-bellied up, we saw the heartbeat, kidneys, spine, everything, it was so cool & then she says "see those two lines?" we said yea, she says, "those are girl parts!" We started cracking up since it was a joke for weeks! We are so excited & can't wait, I am more excited than ever to have this baby! June can't get here fast enough!! Austin's the cutest, he's already loving all the pink, get ready for tea parties, dolls, nail polish, bows & Eloise! Harlow will be here in less than 5 months! (PS: sorry the picture is so gross, we got up really early & I am a mess!) PPS: sorry it's been a month since my last blog, I will try to keep up!
